I am sure you don't need me to tell you all the bad things about smoking, the question is..."When are you going to break yourself out if the hypnotic trance that you are already in?" The trance of denial.

Currently you are under the control of tobacco companies and the chemicals in each cigarette - it's time you took control back from them - and focussed on your own healthy life.

Being There For Them

Hypnosis can help you to stop smoking - however, if you still need more facts, here are few:

SOME SMOKING FACTS

1 person dies every 5 minutes from a smoking-related illness in the UK .

1 puff of a cigarette contains 4,500 chemicals, including: arsenic, acetone and formaldehyde - a form of embalming fluid!

Smoking causes 10 different types of cancer:

  • Mouth & Tongue

  • Throat & Larynx

  • Oesophagus

  • Pancreatic

  • Bladder

  • Kidney

  • Blood (Leukaemia)

  • Lung

  • Brain

  • Liver

90% of lung cancer is caused by smoking.

90% of emphysema is caused by smoking.

Everywhere nicotine reaches can cause cancer.  Nicotine is secreted in the cervix in women, resulting in many unnecessary hysterectomies (BMA).

Many different deadly diseases can be caused by smoking, including:  asthma, emphysema, bronchitis, coronary artery disease, peripheral artery disease, gangrene of legs and feet, high blood pressure, etc.

If injected, the nicotine from one cigarette would kill a horse, or 4 grown men.

Nicotine is more deadly than cyanide.

Asthma in children has been linked to parents who smoke.

A woman smoking 3 cigarettes a day is TWICE as likely to have a heart attack than a woman who doesn't smoke.

A fallacy - Many smokers believe that smoking relaxes them, however cigarettes work in the same way as any other drug. Not having it causes anxiety or cravings, so when the drug is taken (i.e. nicotine), that feeling is relieved... People are fooled because the nicotine has created the anxiety in the first place. It comes as a real surprise to the learn that the actual physical withdrawal from nicotine can be handled relatively easily. But if this were the whole story then everybody would be using patches successfully. The biggest problems are psychological.

For example associations may have been created and re-enforced by having a cigarette:

  • After a meal (habit + alteration of digestive process)

  • With alcohol (habit)

  • With tea and coffee (habit)

  • First thing in the morning etc. (habit + low nicotine blood levels)

  • With a friend who also smokes (habit + bonding)

There may also be associations with feelings such as when you are:

  • Bored

  • Stressed

  • Lonely

  • Upset

  • Angry

  • Having a reliable friend

There can be underlying issues driving the habit such as:

  • I want/deserve to die

  • Smoking is my friend

  • I can’t live without a cigarette

  • I don’t have any other pleasures in life.

  • I'm immune/It won't get me.

and many many more...

Life does not come with a guarantee, and I can't honestly guarantee that you will become a non-smoker, but I can promise to use all my knowledge and expertise to help you achieve your goal.

SOME STOPPING SMOKING FACTS

It is never too late to enjoy the health benefits of being a non-smoker.  After your last cigarette, it takes:

20 mins: for your blood pressure and pulse rate to return to normal.

8 hrs: for nicotine and carbon monoxide levels in your blood to reduce by half; and your oxygen levels to return to normal.

24 hrs: for carbon monoxide to be eliminated from your body.  Your lungs start to clear out mucus and other smoking debris.

48 hrs: There is no nicotine left in the body.  Your ability to taste and smell is greatly improved.

72 hrs: for breathing to become easier.  The bronchial tubes begin to relax and energy levels increase.

2-12 wks: for circulation to improve.

3-9 mths: for coughs, wheezing and breathing problems to improve as lung function is increased by up to 10%.

1 yr: for the risk of a heart attack to fall to about half that of a smoker.

10 yrs: for the risk of lung cancer to fall to half that of a smoker.

15 yrs: for the risk of a heart attack to fall to the same as someone who has never smoked.

And let's not forget that not only will you enjoy better health, so will those around you!  It may not only be your own life you help to save!
