Helpful advice if you are feeling lost and stuck
We all get a little ‘lost’ as we progress through life, things around us change, children grow up, relationships mature and we become more aware of our mortality – the need to do something with the rest of our life – something that will reconnect with our inner well-being, making us feel good and giving us more direction.
People often tell me that “they feel the same inside” as they did when they were much younger – yet, trapped in a body that is getting older, stuck on the treadmill of life, going around and around making ends meet and trying to keep everybody happy. Call it what you will – mid life crisis; getting older or just the realisation that this is your life and it seems to be passing by faster and faster.
I don’t like the term mid-life crisis, however, many people face this phase in their life – whatever the reason you may be feeling low – it’s not too late to do something about it.
- Who are you these days?
- Why are you feeling lost?
- Why do you berate yourself?
- What do you really want from life?
- Why are you just feeling low?
If you can’t answer these questions – then I have a proposition for you.
Feeling low? I can help you change your feelings
Over the last five years I have developed a process that allows you to target 4 main aspects of your life, that when addressed, open the doors to opportunity and change.
Working closely with you over 4 sessions I will help you to update your unconscious mind, changing how you feel about yourself and leading you through a process of increased self awareness that enables you to positively begin to realise the goals (big and small) that will lead to an increase in your well being.
A positive change in just 4 weeks
In as little as four sessions of one and a half hours, over the course of 4 weeks, I can help you to feel better, understand yourself more fully, learn new resources and develop the framework of what you do want from life.
The mid-life crisis 4 step plan of action
Using a range of safe therapies and personal profiling / personal development techniques, I will take you through 4 phases that will allow you to take more control of your emotions and generate a positive plan for your life.
Step 1 – Is to work with you to remove emotional road blocks in your life, working on removing stress, lifting depressive feelings and loosening any anxiety.
Step 2 – Working with your unconscious mind to install a new self image of who you are and what you can do. Addressing attitudes to weight, exercise, relationships, work etc. and becoming more aware of yourself as a wonderful person and helping you to say “I feel good about myself.”
Step 3 – We profile your character to understand more completely who you really are, exploring your values and identifying any unconscious conflicts that you may have that could be holding you back. This process is both interesting and very powerful as you realise who the ‘real you’ is underneath all the layers that time builds up – parent / boss / friend / decision maker / lover / cook / host / educator / carer etc. Once we rediscover the core you, the one that is driven by feelings and emotions, the rest begins to fall into place.
Step 4 – We take all the results from the first 3 steps and redefine your life in the context of ‘what you do want’ not ‘what you don’t want’ and collate these together in a plan of what you are going to do in the future, setting goals and milestones that are in-line with your feelings, desires and needs.
This is not a magical solution, it is a process that we go through, it is hard work and you will be confronted with emotional truths that can be both upsetting and liberating at the same time. You have really got to want this to happen, you have got to be in the position where you are saying to yourself “enough is enough, I want change” then we can begin the process of emotionally getting you where you want to be – even if you don’t know where that is – yet.

“John’s approach to emotional change and goal setting is refreshing, interesting and made me take a long hard look at my life and what I wanted to achieve. The outcome was more than I was expecting and I have a new self awareness that has broadened the choices available to me in my life, a renewed self confidence too.”
